Outdoor Glands are the same as Indoor Glands in the respect that they serve the same purpose; securing a length of cable into a powered device or piece of equipment and providing a tight seal around the edge of the entrance hole. The only difference between Outdoor and Indoor Glands is that Outdoor Glands are made from resistive materials so that they are able to stand outdoor conditions.
